At Greening Whitchurch, we are dedicated to addressing the Climate Emergency. Our mission is to empower the community in Whitchurch, Hampshire, to make informed and greener choices that benefit both the environment and local residents.

Cycle of the Seed
Supported by Garden Organic, this inspiring new programme aims to encourage food growing in your community, open discussion around Food Security, and bring education around the issues connected to soil health. Lots of activities all presented in a new Information support pack will help residents in your community come together to learn new skills and support each other.
Space for Nature
Nature needs our help and so we will bring you expert support from the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust (or a relevant organisation near to you). You will learn the skills to change spaces in your community and make a real difference for nature.
Energy Efficient Warmer Homes
The first thing we need to do is reduce our energy consumption, and the Greening Campaign has a programme to demonstrate how the energy leaves our homes increasing our bills as it does so. We have partnered with the Sustainability Centre and the Environment Centre to bring you some easy solutions and information on grants available to reduce energy loss. Simple changes save money and save CO2 so this is an important Pillar that is well timed with the Energy Crisis
Health Impacts of Climate Change
A different climate is already bringing challenges for us in keeping ourselves active and well. The high temperatures earlier this year showed how our bodies can be affected by even a small rise. Our Pillar lead will support you to tackle awareness raising on keeping your community safe in changing times
Waste Management
This new programme will encourage residents in your community to prevent waste. This is not about recycling waste or even reusing waste but how do we actually stop waste. Garden Organic, supported by Hampshire County Council’s Waste Team, are working with the Greening Campaign to deliver this programme to 20 communities in Hampshire.
